Your Town Hall Is Upgrading… What Are You Building While You Wait?

Day 1-2: Clear the base, keep both builders busy, join an active alliance immediately, and push Town Hall prerequisites in sequence. Early construction is fast, so idle builder time costs more than it appears. Use free speedups when they unlock meaningful features, but avoid burning premium currency simply to erase short timers.

Day 3-4: Settle on a primary formation. Clash of Clans rewards concentration: hero levels, stars, skills, gear, and type-center bonuses multiply one another. Spreading resources across three “almost good” formations usually produces less combat value than building one reliable main team first.

Day 5-7: Begin timing upgrades around Arms Race and Alliance Duel categories. Save radar tasks, hero XP, shards, recruitment tickets, construction speedups, research speedups, and training speedups until the matching scoring window whenever possible. The same upgrade can then advance your account and earn event rewards.

Start by choosing a main damage profile-commonly tank, aircraft, or missile-and align most of your early investment with it. A coherent lineup receives more value from its type center and is easier to gear, research, and improve than a mixed collection built only from whichever hero has the highest displayed power.

• Levels: Keep the primary five heroes near the level cap created by your HQ. Do not drain experience into bench heroes unless a task requires it.
• Stars: Universal legendary shards are among the easiest resources to regret spending. Commit them to long-term main-formation heroes rather than every newly unlocked option.
• Skills: Upgrade the skills that directly drive the hero’s role first-damage for attackers, durability or mitigation for front-line defenders, and useful buffs for support heroes.
• Formation: Place durable heroes in front and protected damage dealers behind. Then test the actual battle report rather than trusting total power alone.
• Second formation: Develop it after your first formation can reliably clear PvE content, contribute to rallies, and compete in your normal PvP range.

Event stacking example: Begin a required building during the construction phase, use construction speedups only far enough to reach a reward threshold, claim the completed upgrade during the Alliance Duel building day if timing permits, and collect alliance-help reductions before spending additional speedups. The objective is not to win every leaderboard; it is to consistently reach the best reward tiers your inventory can support.

1. Scout when possible. Look at troop type, hero composition, level, and whether the target appears reinforced.
2. Use counters intelligently. A lower-power lineup can win when it has a favorable type matchup and better concentration.
3. Protect your front line. If front heroes collapse instantly, back-row damage never gets enough time to work.
4. Read battle reports. Compare damage dealt, damage taken, and survival. Change one variable at a time so you know what improved the result.
5. Do not fight for ego. Hospital capacity, healing time, and event objectives matter. A “win” that consumes days of recovery can be strategically poor.

• Start long construction and research before sleeping or work; use short timers when you can actively chain queues.
• Apply alliance help, relevant buffs, titles, and event bonuses before committing large batches of speedups.
• Keep a written or mental inventory budget for universal shards, skill medals, heroes parts, and universal speedups.
• Do not claim every mail reward immediately if the item can safely remain stored and later support an event.
• Use battle reports to identify the actual bottleneck: front-line survival, damage output, troop count, gear, or matchup.
• Coordinate teleports and rally positions with the alliance before major events; march time is an invisible resource.
• Prepare for season transitions early. New systems often reward players who preserved flexible resources rather than maxing every old branch.
